This inaugural one day workshop for female and non-binary photographers, by the new Women Photograph initiative and with support from ONA, will involve skills-building talks on a wide array of issues ranging from the importance of registering your copyright to hands-on technical demonstrations on lighting. Experts will also be on hand for one-on-one sessions on book editing, grant proposal writing, portfolio reviews, and more.

Selected photographers will be notified by August 22 to register and commit to attending. There are limited spots and there are a number of travel stipends available for photographers who require financial support traveling from outside of the tri-state area.
The workshop will cost $40 to attend. Lunch will be provided.
PHOTOVILLE is New York City’s FREE premier photo destination. Produced by United Photo Industries, the annual festival is a modular venue built from re-purposed shipping containers. Comprised of 70+ exhibitions, 35 talks and workshops, and five nighttime events in an outdoor Smorgasburg beer garden, Photoville remains entirely FREE to attend, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience thought-provoking, challenging, and exceptional photography from across the globe.
