Join us at Photoville for an exhibition showcasing ten images from Women Photograph’s inaugural book, What We See — featuring Gabriella N. Báez, Nina Berman, Luisa Dörr, Citlali Fabián, Lola Flash, Tanya Habjouqa, Kiana Hayeri, Tara Pixley, Anastasia Taylor-Lind, and Patience Zalanga:

What We See is Women Photograph’s first book, featuring the work of 100 members of our community and spanning 50 years of photographic history. The book includes key images from photojournalism and documentary photography from the last half century and also explores some of the many ways in which photographers are working to redefine the medium today. These ten artists offer a glimpse into What We See’s range—from Nina Berman’s documentation of white supremacists in the 1990s to Tanya Habjouqa’s quiet portrait of a Palestinian family to Patience Zalanga and Gabriella N. Báez’s searing photos of civil uprisings in Minneapolis and San Juan. We’re proud to present this excerpt of our vision of the world through the lens of women and nonbinary photographers.
