With the support of ONA, these three (3) $2,500 grants will support documentary projects — either new or in-progress — from three emerging visual journalists.
APPLICATIONS DUE: MAY 20, 2017 @ 5pm EST
There is no fee to apply. Applications must be submitted in English.
IN ADDITION TO THE APPLICATION FORM BELOW, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org a compressed folder (named as LastName_FirstName) of 10 images (each named as LastName_FirstName_01, LastName_FirstName_02, etc.). If your proposal is for a project in progress, please send images of the work so far. If your proposal is for a new project, please send images that are representative of similar work. Applications without a submitted portfolio will not be considered. We cannot accept images sent via WeTransfer or other file sharing sites.
These grants are open to female, female-identifying, and non-binary documentary photographers of any nationality.
There is no fee to apply.
Applications must be submitted in English.
There are no specific parameters on what is meant by "emerging photographer" — all applicants will be asked to submit a bio that includes number of years spent in the field.
For both grants, half of the funding will be disbursed at the beginning of the project, and half upon completion.
Grantees will retain full ownership of all work completed. Women Photograph, the Pulitzer Center, and ONA may all ask for the use of promotional images to be used explicitly in conjunction with promoting the photographer, the work, and the grants.
